Catherine McCullagh

Catherine studied law at the University of Staffordshire where she achieved an upper second class honours LLB degree in 2001.  She  joined Parker Bird solicitors in July 2001 as a para-legal within the civil litigation department and went on to complete the Legal Practice Course  in 2003 before qualifying as a solicitor in 2004.

In April 2006, Catherine joined the criminal team at Parker Bird Whiteley solicitors following the dissolution of the former Parker Bird.

Catherine specialises in criminal litigation.  She achieved Duty Solicitor status in 2009 and regularly represents clients at the police station and Magistrates Court.  She is the head of the firm’s Crown Court department and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Crown Court matters through to trial.  She handles a broad range of cases from the most minor of offences through to the most serious, high profile cases. In March 2015 Catherine achieved her Higher Rights accreditation which enables her to appear at the Crown Court.
