Rauxhana Begum

Zara studied law at the University of Huddersfield from 2001-2004 where she gained an LLB honours degree. She went on to complete the Legal Practice Course in 2005. She joined a Dewsbury firm in August 2007 as a paralegal and subsequently became an Accredited Police Station Representative. Zara has extensive experience undertaking all aspects of Magistrates and Crown Court trial preparation and police station representation. She has been involved in the preparation of many national high profile cases including complex high cost cases, serious organised crime and multiple defendant matters.

Zara joined Parker Bird Whiteley in March 2010 as part of both the criminal and civil litigation teams. She completed her training and qualified as a solicitor in March 2013. She specialises in all areas of Housing Law including possession proceedings, housing disrepair matters, anti-social behaviour injunctions, Landlord/Tenant issues and representing clients at the County Court. Zara is also an integral part of the Criminal department and duty solicitor rota providing out of hours for emergency assistance at the police station and appearing regularly at the Magistrates Court. She has also achieved her Higher Rights accreditation enabling her to represent clients at the Crown Court.
